About the Position:

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at Baylor University invites applications and nominations for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The position is a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure track position. The primary responsibilities of this position include providing clinical education to and mentoring graduate students. Clinical faculty may also be asked to teach undergraduate or graduate courses, participate in active, collaborative research, and engage in departmental, university, and professional service. Application reviews will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. The academic rank for this position will be at the Clinical Assistant level, commensurate with experience and credentials. The position includes clinical teaching, supervising, and mentoring responsibilities.

About the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders:

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers residential bachelor's, residential and online master's, and PhD degrees in Speech-Language Pathology; the program is CAA-certified. Currently, the program is comprised of more than 300 undergraduate students, 100 residential graduate students, 350 online graduate students, and seven PhD students.

Qualifications:
  • A Master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • Certification by ASHA (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas State licensure is required.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in clinical practice, teaching, and/or research.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, both within the department and across disciplines, is highly valued.
